It has been brought up in the past in other threads, not this one. But you are right. There is also another one on resident H-index as well which I also think is an important marker of academic output.

Also, isn’t this ranking based only on output to two journals?
The left column is neurosurgery-specific, but the middle and right ones are overall.

The best part of those H numbers are that the residents and attendings at those institutions loves to include everyone on every pub, and they find ways to cite their own pubs within their pubs. Pitt, UCSF, and Barrow are especially guilty of this.
