You guys should be ashamed of yourself. There is nothing wrong with asking a question. This is a stressful process for everyone and you being an asshole about it isn't helping anyone except making you looking like an idiotic bully.

I'm really sorry dude/ette. Feeling passed up really sucks. Be grateful for what invites you have, do your best but also be ready with plan B.
E.g. gen surg with a transfer as a pgy2 or a clinical research year. I sincerely hope you find a program that you are the right for and is right for you.

FYI, just letting people know. For those who were invited to Cleveland Clinic, if you weren’t fast enough to secure a spot and got waitlisted, you probably got an email saying that you were ‘First on their waitlist’ just so you know, several people got that exact same email. People can’t all possibly be 1st in their waitlist. Frankly, I’m a bit disappointed and think it was a little unprofessional. But perhaps it was just a clerical mistake. I really want to believe it was the latter but who knows. Just don’t get too hung up on being ‘first’ in that waitlist.

I have updated the running list.
FYI: I personally have no problem with people venting on this forum. Unlike others who have posted, I am ok with it functioning as a support group as well. However, I do suggest that to those contributing that you do not only post the invite you got but update the running list. This way the information will be focused in pockets and important info won't get lost in the other posts. Otherwise, it is easy to lose track of things and may contribute to others being a little impatient about it. Perhaps this will mitigate some of the meanness we have encountered in the forum.
