I remember years ago while on a subi, an attending told me that we celebrate each other like we were God's greatest gift to mankind, forgetting that we treat the sickest patients and our complications cause very grave consequences. As residents, we remember our complications, it hurts us deeply, but over time...we becone immune to it; being there, done that. He told me to always remember that and I thank him for it.

For the younger ones out there, remember as physicians....patients entrust their lives to you and as Neurosurgeons, they entrust their life to your every decision and hand motioln.  Be smart, be humble, be caring and most of all get a good lawyer.

Friend, you sound like a broken physician. Posting on these forums is not therapy. Without any disrespect, please seek professional help.

I'm pretty certain that the OP isn't actually John Delashaw, and probably isn't even in Neurosurgery. So be nice! Big Grin

dang seattle times are really going hard on JD, this came out on the same day https://projects.seattletimes.com/2017/q...are/talia/

the talia article was really sad; crazy that an ICU didn't know where to find the crike kit... also kinda crazy that they waited until someone found one, when they really only needed a knife and a tube
