International Neurosurgery Hubs

What are a few countries where neurosurgery research is really ground breaking? And in what subspecialties? Would be cool to go to a country like Switzerland and work with some great minds.

Canada, particularly SickKids in Tornoto, seems to lead the field of pediatric neurosurgery in basic research. Rutka, Drake, Dirks, Taylor, etc. Then of course there's Singh, a rising star, at McMaster. There seems to be a much greater emphasis on surgeon-scientist development, and subsequent PhD training, during neurosurgery residency in Canada. Would be interested to hear others' thoughts
