Can anyone comment on the sub-I experiences at Cincinnati? Id appreciate it!

I don't think it has been a popular SubI location due to its recent history. The chair is a nice guy and well known nationally. You're better off trying to talk to medical students who matched from there or reaching out to residents at the program currently.

If you are interested in Cincinnati, then definitely go. I don't think they get tons of SubIs every year like the bigger name programs so that could play to your advantage, giving you more one-on-one time in the OR with residents/attendings as well as carve out your own clinic schedule (e.g. 1 day/week). It's sad to hear about the Mayfield split given Cincinnati's rich history in neurosurgery but I'm sure they'll reestablish as a solid clinical program soon enough.
