Can scar tissue damage(epidural fibrosis)be detected in an MRI?

Yup, that's why you almost always order a contrast-enhanced MRi in a patient with a history of spinal surgery, Scar Tissue enhances, a re-herniated disk does not.

It means that it “lights up” or appears bright on imaging
