COVID and SubI
#1
If you end up with COVID while on a SubI do you think that needing to be on a vent for just like 5 or 6 days will affect the quality of your letter? Will it look better if you opt for less sedation so that you can still make the list while on the vent?

I would definitely just bring a portable ECMO machine and make sure to have an up to date DNI. Intubation is a huge red flag.

It's important to show that you are a teamplayer. Give up the ventilator for another subI. It will make a huuuge impression. Duoneb if you have to.

It might be difficult to show your prowess on morning rounds if you are on the floor yourself. At the same time if you recover over 24-48 hours, the PD will have no choice but to rank to match.
