We recently had a visiting professor in neurosurgery at our institution who lists  a month long medical school externship (sub-I) at the University of Virginia on his CV. It's now common to do 2 or more away rotations in preparation to match into neurosurgery so I am wondering if anyone else posts that information on future CV's or resume's after residency.

That seems like resume padding to me.
