According to the spreadsheet, some may send out few as people cancel but don't expect a wave

In that circumstance, I would gun for your home spot. Talk to your chair and PD, and feel out how enthusiastic they are about you. Everyone is risk averse this cycle, and a known quantity is better than an unknown applicant.
