Unlikely.

I only have 4 interviews, one of which being my home program. How worried should I be?

dont be worried! all it takes is 1

In that circumstance, I would gun for your home spot. Talk to your chair and PD, and feel out how enthusiastic they are about you. Everyone is risk averse this cycle, and a known quantity is better than an unknown applicant.

I think you mean a known entity

Any thoughts on what a "safe" number of ranks will be this year? Based on data from last year's class, average ranks of those who did not match was around 10 while those that did was around 15. Seems like a very narrow window.

Averages are averages and as we all know are subject to significant skew. The number of ranks among those that did not match is probably pretty negatively skewed. I bet that many of those who did not match only ranked a small handful of programs.

I'd focus more on the % odds of matching based upon # of ranks from the 2020 charting outcomes data and use that to define what is "safe" for you.

who told you they interview 100 people lol? There are only 3 sessions and there are 15-20 each...that does not make 100 people...but yes don’t go...there are people would love to go in your place

The PD did suggest in a webinar (think it was one of the CNS ones that they did for Covid) that they'd interview 100 people. Would be surprised if it ends up being that many in the end though, likely closer to 60-70 based on the numbers being reported
