That is definitely not the case here at Pitt. At the non presby hospitals where you spent half of your opetative time its essentially impossible because youre detached from the bulk of residents. of the 28, 2 are off service interns, 2 of the pgy2s are not at puh and 1 is consults only, all of the pgy3s are elsewhere, 2 of the pgy4s are elsewhere, and the pgy5 and 6s are doing their own thing of which 4 are doing endovascular or research so they arent in the ORs. One resident is on night float and 1 fellow tends to be in their respective clinics so in total operative manpower consists of 3  chiefs (4 starting next year) 3 fellows 2 residents and 2 interns. We run 8 to 11 rooms a day at presby so theres really not much time for double scrubbing except the occassional soow day.

Pitt has to be the busiest operative training program. Churns out awesome surgeons though.

Can you name anyone who came from Pitt with the reputation as "awesome surgeon?"

Guys, the plural of "knife" is "knives." Jesus. Pull it together and show some self respect.
