Talked to a few Barrow residents and fellows. Seems like there is going to be more of an emphasis on research while still trying to maintain the operative experience that BNI is really unrivaled at. Expect more stringent publication requirements and dedicated research time.

Was told by a resident here that Lawton wants BNI to be UCSF. While you might have stood a chance before with few pubs, don't bother here if you're not an academic powerhouse.

That's before his method led to 2 residents leaving in the past 3 years. Expect it to swing back towards the PGY5s making the list.
