Could not agree more. If you care to do research only, a place like Harvard or Columbia might suit your needs, but putting either of those programs in the top 20 is absurd. Similarly, a place like USC or Emory is fine for operative training, but hardly known for generating well-rounded graduates.

Mayo Jax has great attendings, tremendous research, a new facility, and a great location. It is definitely top tier.
