Pre-residency Fellowship-lahey
#1
Hello everyone,

Any input on Lahey neurosurgery program, especially their pre-residency fellowship program posted lately here?

Is it good, Has any previous pre-residency fellow matched into NS ?

Thank you for your input

It's an exploitative scam

Agree with above. It’s bull$hit, u do scutwork all day long, and in return all you get is a vague promise of a LOR, the usefulness of which is questionable, and a minuscule chance of matching. It’s a waste of a year of ur life and career

Lahey pre-residency fellows have matched previously, one matched this year and last year. The program has been making changes and improvements over the years. The year is a lot of work, but you are first assist in the OR daily, and the program is currently working toward full time in-house night float APP support.

Agree. Solid opportunity for those willing/able to dedicate a year putting in the work. Others have matched prior to the last two years as well. No guaranteed success and not for everyone but (relatively) decent chances of securing a spot in neurosurgery as a re-applicant and strong clinical exposure that will help you even if you do not end up in neurosurgery. Supportive attendings.

You can tell which posters are desperate weak applicants by who’s gargling Lacey’s ballsack the hardest on this thread. Either that or lahey just responding to themselves in an equally desperate attempt to find someone to do scut for them.
