Why was Mefty let go, only to go to Harvard? Something is not adding up?

well "let go" is one way to call it. basically medical school dean gave an ultimatum to leave or have some things publicized/legal action taken. Again didn't immediately go to harvard stayed in arkansas for a bit. Reputation was never affected because anyone would choose to leave rather than some things coming to light. Of course never has been a chair of a department again either...
