Anyone who has rotate/ interviewed there have any insights? Seemed like they lost a resident recently?

Interviewed and was impressed w the program. Well rounded clinical experience except weak in trauma at main campus. Very chill residents and lots of great research. Gainesville seemed fun but is just a college town with nothing else to offer. Chair is stepping down and will appoint new chair from w/in department so if you do an away there your letter might not be from Friedman. Overall strong program.

The letter will be from Hoh, which will still be very nice. I agree with above.

Can anyone provide a breakdown of their experience? Curious about this program under Hoh's leadership. He seems to be a dynamic young chair.

Hoh is crushing it, in the last couple years UF med students have matched nsg at Pitt, Hopkins, and Barrow so he's obviously well connected

UF student, what's your experience with the department in terms of being on a rotation with the faculty and residents?
