Should I take step 2CK if I have a scored step 1

I am applying for the match this upcoming cycle. I got a 253 on Step 1 and am debating whether I should take Step 2CK before submitting ERAS.  What do people advise? I have heard conflicting things from different sources. I have heard the curve on Step 2 is better but I have not been performing at the same percentile of my Step 1 score on my clerkship shelf exams and worry about the risk of getting a lower Step 2.

Apply with just Step 1. I just did this cycle. So did all my classmates. The whole needing both score thing is highly overblown. Was never even brought up. Take Step 2 in the Fall after you finish your apps. Just be mindful interview season gets busy too.

FYI I only put in the required effort on shelf exams, did not use that as comparison. Dedicated time is an entirely different thing and Step is more like UWorld than the NBME exams on shelf.
