Farthest down on rank list you’ve ever heard of anyone dropping?

Wondering if any residents here heard of anyone matching farther than like 15-20 on their rank list? Wondering how much to stress about like #25 vs #26 on my list. Seems like you either are a good interviewer and will wind up in your top 10 or a poor one and can rank 30 programs and still won’t match.

im not sure but its going to be real, real bad. lots of international applicants, as well as DO applicants. last year ive seen some solid guys who had to scramble im and even fm because of how messed up it is. can't imagine how bad things are going to be this year.

where did you get that information from? The last data that came out showed less than 5% growth in applications, and a lower number of IMGs this year

so a 4% growth in applications for the same # of residency spots? Keep in mind that only competitive applicants apply in the first place. I mean you can see where this is going right?

stop fearmongering, provide data. We're back to a pre-pandemic level (2019-2020)
Also, not the same # of residency spots. Climbing slowly and not as quickly as pre-pandemic rise of applicants, but there's a continuous increase in residency spots. Even this year. You want to go into neurosurgery, be accurate in your statements.
