Is there any advantage to submitting that SNS presentation now versus say in a week?

Big discrepancy between programs with too many applicants and programs with not enough. Some programs have no people applying. Others programs are either much more or much less elite than their home med school so they're more likely to take outside applicants. There are also applicants who don't want to spend 7 years where they just did 4+ of med school. No way to predict it, just do your best

There are a million reasons why programs don't end up taking their rotating students and vice versa why high caliber candidates don't end up staying at their home institutions

This year is very odd. I know a few people with great scores and pubs with only a few interviews. Seems like med school tier may play a bigger role this year.
