Yes. Unless a program is sending out more invites than they have spots for, and as long as they are still interested in meeting a certain number of interviews, they will continue to send out invites in smaller numbers as spots are left open for their interview days... because they either never filled, or people have cancelled those interviews after initially accepting.
As someone else pointed out: if it seemed like about 50 people got all the invites initially, just think about it... there are 200 PGY1 spots/yr out there -> more invites are going to have to come out as those "50" can't attend ALL the interviews.
And don't waste time being offended or worried that you are less desirable of an applicant because you did not get their first round invites. Of the 300+ applicants out there, about 150 of you look very very similar on paper (good! but similar) and somehow a program has to select 30 or so to invite and not the others. It is quite a crapshoot in that regard. And largely once you get the interview, the playing field is level again in that personality and "fit" end up being among the biggest factors... and that really does not stand out on an app.
... unless of course you didn't take step two... everyone knows that is the most crucial factor (j/k ... I agree that should be a separate thread)
