You go if you don’t think it’ll collapse. Also consider if the alternative is not matching and the high placement rates of residents displaced by programs that lost accreditation.

I would suggest it a bit crazy to intentionally try to match at a program out of hopes of them losing accreditation and you getting scooped up by a better program, but the reality is I wouldn't be afraid of going to a program on probation out of fear of losing your position since your chances of transferring are almost absolute (because you are "free" to any residency that takes you in the sense that they can go above their limit). Rather, I'd be afraid as to the social or infrastructural problems that probation may represent. Often programs get off of probation, but that doesn't necessarily mean the underlying problem has been rectified.

Which programs put a strong emphasis on interprofessional work? Those would be the places to avoid. Take orders from a nurse? No thanks.
