Just knowing who landed at the top programs would be a good contact for future applicants, many fellowship website are not updated and don’t list current fellows or alumni.

There were a small number of post match vacancies that may or may not have been scrambled into I don't know. To be fair the peds job market, in terms of pure academic jobs, is always tough. There's only a few hundred academic positions nationally, the market has never been able to bear 30 new grads a year.

Honestly I found most of the fellowships I interviewed at to be totally reasonable places to train. It comes down to research interest and clinical focus. For example, if you want to do peds deformity maybe Boston and Toronto aren't the best choices to set you up for that.
