Anil Nanda put on leave at Rutgers
#21
Really why? If 65 year old chair leaves while you are intern that means new chair is established well before it matters when you are mid level resident starting to look for fellowships or later when you are senior and doing the big cases or looking for job. Better to have old man leave now rather than a few years later when it matters.

Can someone explain this? What actually did Dick Winn do wrong

Yeah I’ve read that article but I still don’t really understand. What’s wrong with billing surgeries under his name?

... you have to be there for the surgery to bill for it, or in this case at least act like you're in the vicinity.

"During the same period, however, Winn brought sanctions on the UW when he allowed his students to see tightly guarded test booklets for a national exam.

The 1988 incident led to a period in which residents were required to take the exam off-campus for one year, followed by four years in which an independent monitor oversaw the test."

Sounds like a man of the people to be honest

Sounds like a man of low moral and ethical character to me.

Sounds like a man who puts his residents first. No wonder why he was put down by organized neurosurgery.

Sociopath who felt he was untouchable and above the law. Just like Nanda. Perhaps Dong Kim also. Seems to be common quality in chairs in neurosurgery, particularly those who get canned.
