“Headaches everywhere” is literally any job that is in academics. The only thing that changes when you are chair is the nature of the headache. At least you get paid better as chair, and you get nicer OR start times.

It was a joke from the beginning to have him as a chair. A private practice guy who suddenly becomes AANS chair because of his "connections" then VCU chair. This is what is called gaming the system.
