Yeah, he’s politically connected, but his work is derivative. He’s always a step behind mike Wang and Juan Uribe re: MIS spine and people know Ames is the better deformity surgeon at UCSF. You do fellowship with Mummaneni for political connections not because he’s ground breaking

What happened to Timmons? She was chair and now they have an interim? But she's still listed as being on faculty. I never understood what happened to Barbaro at IU either.
