Prior to medical school I used to volunteer in youth ministries. I met a guy who was falsely accused by one of his classmates (he was in high school). He couldn't take it and he killed himself eventually. It destroyed his family and he father died a few years layer from an drug overdose. After that I am always paranoid.

I met a guy who was fired from a lab because of false claims from a female coworker. Both were trying to get into med school. She got in by kissing PI’s ass; he did not and committed suicide months later.
