Bullying and working without sleep are how good surgeons are made. If you don't like it, go into another field.

^ Loyal residents don't file lawsuits. They take the bullying and sleep deprivation like a man.

Real loyalty is a medieval concept. Modern loyalty is an unethical pact for career or political agreement.
With less objective parameters in the next years, Neurosurgery is at risk of filling positions based on modern loyalty and even nepotism.

If the PD bullies/abuses you, accept it. If you are disloyal towards your benefactor, you are human scum. Read Dante and learn something, idiots.

Heard about a big shot PD a while ago who slept with a PGY6's wife but they sat and took it without retaliating because they wanted a rec letter for fellowship. If you really want something that much you'll bear anything to achieve it

The last Dante fan homie will go to hell according to the own Dante:

“The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis”

^Sounds like a true beta male. Also evidence that a resident shouldn’t get married until after residency. No female will put up with a resident for 7 years. Just look at the beta male Paul Kalanithi. Guilt tripped his wife into having a child knowing he didn’t have much time left.
