it sounds like he could not get along with other residents. "clinical issues" his PGY 2. It seems like a clear case of retaliation because of harrasment complaints about the treatment he recived from other residents. Sometimes you just need to have tougher skin, keep your mouth shut, and respect the hierarchy.
Why should one have to "respect the hierarchy" when they are being actively discriminated against? Everyone deserves to have an equitable and safe working environment
The unemployment line is as safe and and equitable as it gets. Keep your mouth shut and your head down.
Who knows the truth of the matter. It is hard to say who is in the right or the wrong. Programs generally do not fire residents if it can be avoided. Although, it does appear that the process was less than transparent for this resident, although this resident's story is probably cherry-picking information to make it seem like the program is entirely to blame.
