Any schools that will consider a STEP 2 in 240s

Any schools that will even look at an app with a step 2 in the 240s? 
Provided all other parts of the app are great (research, grades, etc)

I would say most schools. Probably easier to compile a list of the few that wouldn't routinely offer an interview.

I know someone with a mid 240s who got interviews at multiple top programs and ultimately matched at a top program

It’s not a stellar score, but it will likely not prevent you from getting interviews.

How much does a high score actually help?

I would still apply with a slightly less optimal STEP 2.  Program leadership seems to not care quite as much about percentiles (for now at least) as they did for STEP 1, could just be because everyone isn't extremely familiar with the average Step 2 scores being higher.
