Has anyone had any luck confirming the hotel reservation at the Pine Barn Inn (as instructed in our last email) for the Geisinger interview on November 10? I called and they said there are no reservations for us and they are completely booked that night (Nov 9). I tried calling/emailing the PC last week, but no response. I normally wouldn't mind waiting to hear, but it's coming up pretty quickly and I'd hate to pay for a hotel I'm not supposed to pay for...

The hotel is probably completely booked because the program has booked the rooms. Programs that cover accommodation for applicants are usually organized in these logistics. You should be hearing back from them shortly, you still have time.

No, you don't understand. I called the hotel and they said there are no blocked rooms under Geisinger Neurosurgery. They are completely booked for an unrelated symposium. We were instructed to call the hotel and provide credit card information to hold the room. I tried doing this and found there are no rooms for us.
Hillary Clinton is coming to speak from Nov 8-10 for a healthcare symposium. Definitely not booked for neurosurgery.

I did. No reservation under my name. Are you interviewing then too and were able to confirm your reservation?
I was just elaborating saying that after nothing was found under my name, there was also 0 rooms booked by anyone from Geisinger Neurosurgery.

If you read my original post, I said I called and emailed her. Left a voicemail in fact. No response.
Called other hotels in the area to see if anything is available and everything is booked for the symposium. Closest room is another town away. |
