Book that is dangerous for Neurosurgery
#1
Does anyone know anything about this?

https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-busin...gLZjvD_BwE

It’s about how to make money as a neurosurgeon!!!

This has no place in our speciality.  Our research should be on things that actually impact patient outcomes?!?!

There’s no preview. So you don’t know what’s it’s even about. And there is an entire governing body of neurosurgery that researches this stuff. The CSNS.

Ditto.  It doesn't even look like the book is really about that.

No, I'm not. Perhaps I came off a bit self-righteous but I mean neurosurgeons make in the top 1% of income. Why is a Chairman of a Neurosurgery Department editing a book like this? $$$$ Maybe I overreacted but we are neurosurgeons or neurosurgery residents not economists, business people, or policy people. Why is there this entire organization of neurosurgeons the CSNS fighting to make sure neurosurgeons make enough money? That just looks bad that resources are put into that, and that's my point.

Put in the time and effort to become a NS and then see how you feel about “economics”
