What kind of students were you guys like in high school? Did you guys change once you got to college/med school? Or were you guys always top students?

I goofed off all through high school but was in a small town at a not very good school so still got mostly A's. Buckled down when i got to college

OP: if you're a high schooler and wondering how to set yourself up to go into neurosurgery, don't worry about it. Enjoy your youth and cross bridges when you have to.

Develop good habits now. Be a high performer. Many neurosurgeon residents discount what it took to get to where they are
