Flight = they would like to verify that you are certainly coming. 
Hotel = they would like to know which hotels the residents should come and pick you guys up for the pre-interview dinner. It was a 15-minute driving distance, so might as well tell them if you would like to save Uber/Lyft.

Amazing program with very collegial residents, benevolent faculty and well-rounded clinical experiences. Hope this helps.

Of people that I've talked to on the trail so far, i've heard as low as 2 invites and as many as 45+, so it really varies. The majority of people that I've spoken to are somewhere around 15-20 invites. I know of at least 5 good applicants with < 10 invites - you're not alone. Crush what you've got my man/lady.
