I've heard of some people getting chair emails, I myself have also received one. No calls that I've heard yet.

Is it normal for a program to have named a top 3 candidate before they finish interviewing? UCSD has one more date

Yall are being too paranoid at this point. No chair is going to say 'top 3', the comment was trolling. Also, do not put any stock into being told you are someone's "top choice", every resident knows of some friends that took it as a fact and was shocked on match day they didn't match at that program. The rank list process is very simple, just rank where YOU want to go in that order. Don't overthink it, don't try to game the system. Just rank where you want to go and drown out all of the noise about emails/post interview correspondence, and for the love of God stop thinking everything on this site is true. Especially at this point of the interview season

If that was true then perhaps keep it to yourself rather than putting out evidence that they are violating the match rule. Programs have ways of bypassing such things, rarely would they be so direct when they can simply call up a friend at your home program and tell them. If that friend tells you is their business and not as direct of a match violation.
