Baylor?
#1
Hey everyone,

How is Baylor as a program, both operatively and research wise? I understand they increased their resident pool to 4 this year. Will this program set you up for a career in academia?

Is there anyone there who regularly does awake craniotomies?

Baylor matching 4 people? They simply do not have the volume for that. No one there is doing awakes since Yoshor left..

Any program can set you up for academia. Look at where their residents went to fellowship. You're best chance to get a spot is at a place where a previous resident has gone and knocked it out of the park. They don't have a particularly strong history of recent grads going into academia.
