Any thoughts about the Washington University St. Louis program? How clinically strong is the program? Per doxmity it's in the top 10 and seems pretty solid in research infrastructure although residents do not have many publications. Is it because residents are overworked? Why did their resident leave after 4 years? Shouldn't she know the program inside out given she went to the same medical school? Any reason why the program director and associate director changed over the last 2 years?
Sounds like you know more than you are leading on. You tell us.
Have they began interviews for this spot yet?
Definitely a top tier program worthy of a top 10 ranking. Historically has produced many neurosurgical greats. Strong operative experience associated with a top research university and the Ireland experience is a unique experience that few programs offer. Every program has attrition and the loss of a single PGY4 doesn’t mean much.
Agree with the above. For a program like WashU this is a nothing burger.
Where did that resident go?
Departed Resident was close to chair at Wash U.
Curious to know why she left/was fired. It’s very unusual for home program residents
