What to expect in fellowship interviews? Are hotels/flights provided or I have to pay for these? Any recommendations?

I think there's some variability depending on subspecialty but I would anticipate at least paying for flights. Some places might pay for your hotels.

When I interviewed for spine fellowships a couple years back, it was a mixed bag. Some places paid for flights/hotels, for others u were on ur own.

In general the fellowship interviews are laid back, most of these places are simply interested in making sure ur someone who will mesh well with their current residents/attendings. A few asked about what my anticipated career trajectory would be, only one or two asked about research (and of these only one actually cared about my answer)
