Open PGY1-PGY2 neurosurgery position

Hello,

How does one go about finding an opening for a PGY1 or PGY 2 position in neurosurgery when it becomes available? I'm currently doing a prelim year and I want to try to match into a spot if I'm fortunate enough. I'm aware of the reasons I didn't match this most recent cycle and am working on correcting those issues this year.

I don't think there is an official venue for this. Positions sometimes get posted here, but you should also look into platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and even Instagram nowadays. Programs might post about opening spots there.

And also stay in touch with the neurosurgery department at your institution and see if they can help.
