Hello, is there any benefit to attending the CNS or AANS annual meetings as a med student if you're not presenting research?

Looks like neither AANS nor CNS has a medical student track so I am curious to hear if students generally attending these meetings.

Thanks.

not really, you would learn some stuff but better off with some of the basic books for now for a fraction of the cost. if you have residents who are close mentors and friends who don't mind hanging out with you and introducing you to some peeps that might make it marginally worthwhile.

Agree it can be good if you have people to go with. If you are heavily involved in research it can be a good way to come up with research ideas by seeing what people are doing in your area.
