USC?

Anyone with any insights on USC recently? Have my sights set on the west coast and looking for a program with heavy operative experience. Have only heard good things but looking for some more opinions.

I know this is the opposite of what most residents want but there is such a thing as too much autonomy and I think USC is the perfect program to show that. I think that the system they have at LAC could end up hurting patients. I know residents are supposed to be learning but not at the cost of appropriate patient care. Otherwise, I think it's a great program with a tight knit group of residents. Not much more you could ask for.

Can you specify too much autonomy? At what level? Senior and chief residents operate unsupervised or are PGY-3s doing solo cases? I think the definition of autonomy varies depending what program you come from, but there seems to be too little autonomy more times than too much autonomy.
