Thoughts on the Cornell subI? Among the NY schools, would doing a subI here be well regarded and do they write good letters/vouch for you? How does subI here compare to the other NY schools>

Good choice. Maybe consider NYU as alternative.

good subI, chill, night float, pretty much in OR all day with 1 week INR. not too much trauma, a lot of tumor if thats your thing.

Skilled surgeons (Schwartz, Souweidane, etc.), very collegial place, sub-Is are treated with respect/not terrible hours, get to operate all day + decent sub-I-appropriate autonomy if you are good, good quality letters / chairman actually gets to know you, meets with you at least once to get good info to write a letter, good skull base lab with nearly 100 cadaver heads open 24/7, research opportunities if that's your thing, lots of resources, tons of PAs to do the scut work, also NYC is a fun place to be.
