Both programs are complete trash, don't even bother applying. You should really be looking at Rutgers, New Mexico, and LSU Shreveport for good letters and a non-malignant experience.

OP, both are pretty good but from what I heard from co-applicants, NYU was more enjoyable.
Both are chill-ish vs. a more USC experience

Because these neurotic applicants making multiple threads with the same question in different ways need to get a grip. Questions like "Does NYU write good letters?".....do you think the top applicants audition at one of the best programs in the country are getting sub-par letters every year? If you work hard, Harter or Golfinos write a good letter. If you are annoying, your letter won't be good. Pretty simple concept that applies everywhere.
