Can you negotiate operative days?

I wonder if you can negotiate which days in the week to operate or to specify which days you don't (unless on call). Can you get this in contract?

Depends on the environment and practice but yes this is something you can try to negotiate. You have some freedom in OR days and clinic days, how many clinic days you want, etc etc. Less freedom in large academic centers or large PP (like a Kaiser type) but if you are in a small PP group in a smaller area then ya you can def negotiate this
