how is loyola chicago looking this year amongst the chicago programs?  several new faculty- https://ssom.luc.edu/neurosurgery/faculty/index.cfm . no longer on probation?

WHy were they on probation?

Was a sub-I here this app cycle.
They're off probation. Not entirely sure of the reason, but was told it was due to lack of teaching (11 citations). New faculty replaced old ones who were supposedly not into teaching. Residents are happy and the program seems to be on an upswing. I think the volume is decent (4 rooms running, about 2-3 cases each). Very supportive admin, faculty and specifically PD.
I don't know how it ranks amongst other programs though. Appears to be a solid program.
