Why does JNS take so long?
#1
I can not fathom why I am waiting over 6-months after my manuscript is sent to production before it is actually published.  Remind me not to submit to JNS ever again.

The not uncommon alternative is to be swimming in the water with a rejection 6 months after a submission.

Over a year now.

What are the rules on withdrawing a submission after its been accepted? I'd rather re-submit to a journal that will actually publish my work.

To be honest, your paper probably got prioritized after this one. http://thejns.org/doi/abs/10.3171/2017.6.JNS171108
