whoops
definitely helps. telling from my friends experience with someone sub 240, he had 30+ interviews and on several interviews. Even for myself, inspite of having high 250s, my AOA status was complimented by several residents and attendings

Any tips for how to excel in medical school? I'm a second year who's in the top 1/3 and a good school but obviously to be AOA eligible you have to be top 25%.

I have been asked at multiple interviews about AOA, or congratulated for AOA. People do notice, though step 1 matters a lot more.

What are you talking about? At my school it's top 13%. I'm pretty sure you're mathematically out at this point at most schools
