In the past we have taken 1.  This year we are offering two positions.  Yes, three have gone on to full neurosurgical residencies.  One decided not to pursue neurosurgery and went on to complete a pHD.  Another decided on radiology as a career and one other pursued neurocritical care.

How long has the pre-residency program existed? I.e. is this a record of everyone that has done the fellowship or only the latest 5 graduates? Thanks for the transparency.

Why have you decided to take 2 this year? Is there a change in volume?

Does anyone have any insight on to the value of such a position or how these are perceived by other program directors? It seems like it has the potential to add a lot of value, but I am wary of the fact that one would only have 2.5 months in the position before ERAS applications are once again submitted, which does not leave a lot of time to accumulate experiences or research to include on the CV.
