Current student at a top 50 us med school and ive wanted to due ns for a while now. Im worried that my stats arent good enough for me to match:
Step 1: 246
Step 2: 250
80% honors 20% pass
All clinical: 14 pubs ( 5 first author, 4 2nd author) ,9 talks/presentations

Bouncing off of OP, I will be applying next year and was wondering if I’d be able to match at a decent program:
Step 1: 254
Step 2: 258
85% honors, 15% pass
All clinical pubs as well: 11 pubs( 4 first author, 2 second author)/10 talks/ presentations. 
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

stats are great. If you're from a  med school with a good track record of matching NSG applicants (which i assume you are bc of the pubs), you're good.

Historically good schools to attend for the neurosurgically inclined: Columbia, HMS, Michigan, UVA, Pitt, UCSF, Duke, Yale, Hopkins
Schools that have recently been putting out high quality NS applicants: Case Western/CCLCM, Penn, UFlorida, Vandy, Jefferson, Stanford
