What's the difference between neuro spine and ortho spine? Can orthos do work on the spinal cord?

Given the volume of programs not allowing aways, what is the plan? Do we all just jump in? Match rate last year was under 70%. I don't wanna gamble.

Since med schools all run on different calendars, are sub-i's that apply to through VSAS flexible on dates?

For instance, could I start and end a week earlier to fit a sub-i into my schedule?
