As in an interventional neuroradiology (radiology dept) or interventional neurology (neurology dept) VSAS elective that has neurosurgeons heavily involved with whom I can work with since I am at my limit for months of neurosurgery.

Oh I see. Are these in addition to the standard neurosurgery away rotations?

Yeah since I can only do 3 months of "neurosurgery" i'm hoping to get an extra one in under "neurology" or "radiology" if I can.

dude/dudette... you only need 3 SubIs. More is way overkill. It does not give you added advantage and prevents you from a month at another elective that will help you become a more well rounded doctor.

The Neuro ICU in Colorado is run by neurosurgery and the residents. The neurointensivists were all trained by Neurosurgery at Colorado and are in the neurosurgery department.
